The CAIMEN Bifolding Gate is a trackless aluminum folding gate built for entrances where a swing arc or a long sliding run simply won't fit. Its panels fold back toward both sides of the opening, so the gate needs far less room than a swing leaf and no side-travel track like a sliding gate. Our installation manual describes it as a fully suspended design: there's no pre-embedded floor track, and rain, snow or standing water don't get in its way. Patented top-bottom axis support

This is the heart of the gate. A CNC-machined top pivot guides each leaf, and a patented bottom pivot with four-layer protection carries the load straight down into the foundation, instead of hanging it off side connection points. According to CAIMEN's engineering data, mechanical wear drops by about 60% compared with a conventional support shaft, service life runs up to 3 times longer, and a single bearing assembly supports 5 to 10 tons. Those are our own figures, not third-party tests.

Hinge shaft and synchronized folding

Each fold turns on a 40 mm hinge shaft in 304 stainless steel, precision-cast at 1500 °C and paired with precision bearings for quiet running. A patented dual-track guide keeps both panel sets moving through 90° in sync. Why care? Out-of-step panels are what jam folding gates.

6005 and 6063 aluminum frame

The cabinet post uses 6005-T5 aluminum at 250 x 200 mm with a 4.0 mm wall. Main frame, inner frame and stand tubes are 6063-T6, with the main frame at 128 x 90 x 3.2 mm. 6063 is the standard architectural extrusion alloy, prized for a clean surface finish, as the 6063 alloy reference notes. Decorative parts are aluminum castings.

AkzoNobel outdoor powder coating

Frames are finished in AkzoNobel Interpon outdoor powder coating with fluorocarbon double baking. Standard color is CM-01 gray, and you can change it. See our coatings page for how the powder systems compare.

24 V brushless drive

A 24 V DC brushless motor, rated 200 W, opens the gate in 6 to 12 seconds with soft start and soft stop. It's rated for at least 5,000,000 cycles and works from -30 °C to +70 °C. Low voltage helps on homes.

Safety and control

Infrared anti-collision stops and reverses the gate when the beam is broken. Leakage detection trips at 10 mA with automatic power cut-off in under 0.1 s, a tighter threshold than the 30 mA commonly used for personal protection devices (the Siemens RCD primer explains the ratings). Manual clutch, self-locking, thermal protection and flame-retardant materials round it out. The 10th Gen control system talks to LPR, face, fingerprint, keypad, app, video intercom, RFID, radar, ground loop and Bluetooth.

The old rule holds: pick a bifold when the space beside or in front of the opening is the problem. Typical fits include:

• Residential and villa driveways where the leaf can't swing into a sloped drive and there's no wall length for a sliding run.
• Industrial and factory entrances with a tight apron, trucks queuing close to the line, and floors where a track would collect grit.
• Public facilities such as schools and government buildings that want a clean, trackless threshold for pedestrians.
• Commercial sites where the gate pairs with LPR or a barrier for daily traffic.

Say your gate sits two meters back from a busy road. A swing leaf would hit the waiting car. A bifold doesn't.
