Vertical pivot gate: K800, K600, K500 and G600
Gates that rotate upward, for sites with no room to slide or swing.

Where it fits
A vertical pivot gate lifts its fence arm upward, so it needs no horizontal clearance. Arms reach up to 6000 mm including the cabinet on the K800, with 4 to 10 second operation depending on arm length.

Overview
If your driveway has no spare wall for a sliding leaf, the CAIMEN Vertical Pivot Gate is probably the one to look at. Its fence panel rises. It turns on a pivot at the cabinet, so almost nothing happens on the ground beside or behind the opening. Ramp right inside the line? Usually fine. CAIMEN is a Shenzhen-based manufacturer of gates and access control equipment, founded in 2013, supplying vertical pivot gates to distributors, installers and project buyers worldwide.
There are five models: K800, K600, K500/K500A, G600 (louvered) and the KJM003 smart gate. Split them by power and it gets simple. K800, K600 and KJM003 run on AC 220 V with a 250 W motor, opening in 4 to 10 seconds depending on arm length. Then there's the 24 V pair. We'd call the K500/K500A and G600 the workhorses, with a 140 W motor (rated power 140 to 200 W) and 5 to 10 seconds per cycle.
Key features
Opens up, not out
No wide side clearance. That's the whole point of rotating vertically. Fully open, the K600 and KJM003 tuck the fence in at the top beam.
Long arms on the 220 V models
The K600 goes furthest: 7500 mm of arm, cabinet included, so it's your pick for the widest openings in the range. K800 and KJM003 stop at 6000 mm. All three get a heavy top beam (210x205x1.5-1.8 mm on the K800 and KJM003, 122x170x1.8 mm on the K600). Rated range? -30 to 80 °C.
Quiet 24 V drive on the K500 and G600
Under 65 dB. Neighbors notice. The K500 comes with either a 1600 mm cabinet (1500 mm max arm height) or a 1400 mm one, which caps arm height at 1300 mm. It's rated from -25 to 70 °C.
Fluorocarbon powder coating
Cabinets on the K500 and G600 are made from high-strength carbon steel plate. Over that goes fluorocarbon powder, baked and cured twice. Dark grey is standard.
Louvers, LED strips and your logo (G600)
The G600 is the one with personality. Its louvered panel lets air through and keeps the yard mostly screened, though you can partly see between the slats. LED strips are built in for night. Logos or advertising content can go on the panels. Arm material is aluminum, and length tops out at 4500 mm.
Safety and access control
Anti-crush sensors, obstruction detection, emergency stop: the series supports all three. Access options aren't identical across models, though. With the 220 V K800, K600 and KJM003, you can trigger the gate by remote (under 30 m, 418 MHz), keypad, RFID card or smartphone app (intercom on the K800; biometric options listed for the K600 and KJM003), and tie it into CCTV and your existing access control.
Where it fits
Tight on side room along the gate line? This is where a vertical pivot gate makes sense.
- Villa and estate driveways. The gate sits close to the street, with no wall to slide along. More on our villas and private estates page.
- Gated communities and apartment entrances that want an automatic gate with a clean, minimal look.
- Factories, warehouses and logistics parks. Gate cycling all day? Go with the 24 V K500 or G600.
- Parking lots and commercial sites. A branded G600 works as signage too. It pairs well with a barrier gate or plate recognition on a separate lane.
One honest limit. The raised arm needs headroom. Before you settle on a pivot point, look up: overhead cables, branches, eaves.
How to specify it
Start with the clear opening. Measure it, and the model mostly picks itself.
| Model | Max arm length (incl. cabinet) | Drive | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| K600 | 7500 mm | AC 220 V, 250 W | Widest openings |
| K800 / KJM003 | 6000 mm | AC 220 V, 250 W | Heavy top beam, residential and commercial |
| K500 / K500A | 6000 mm | 24 V, 140 W | High-traffic sites, quiet running |
| G600 | 4500 mm | 24 V, 140 W | Louvered look, LED, branding |
Then check local safety rules. In the US, UL 325 lists vertical pivot gate operators as a separate operator type and requires monitored entrapment protection; a 2018 Door + Access Systems (DASMA) article on the UL 325 changes lays this out. Don't skip it. Ask your installer to confirm photo eyes or edges at every pinch point.
What we need for a quote:
- Clear opening width and the fence height you want
- Available supply: 220 V AC, or a preference for 24 V
- Overhead clearance at the pivot side
- Infill style, color and any logo artwork
- Access controls and safety devices you need
We send CAD drawings back for you to approve. Production typically takes 15 to 20 days after drawing approval. If none of the five fits, see our custom aluminum gates or all products. Questions? Email [email protected] or use the contact page.

CAIMEN Vertical Pivot Gate questions
How much space does a vertical pivot gate need?
Hardly any to the side. The panel rotates upward around the cabinet, so you don't need a parking bay for a sliding leaf or an arc for a swing leaf. Height is what you trade for that. Once the arm is up, nothing can sit above the opening, so check for cables, branches and roof edges before you commit.
Which model covers the widest opening?
That's the K600: 7500 mm max arm length, cabinet included. K800, KJM003 and K500/K500A reach 6000 mm. The louvered G600 stops at 4500 mm. Bigger than all of those? Honestly, a cantilever or telescopic sliding gate usually serves you better.
What's the difference between the 220 V and 24 V models?
Power and noise, mostly. K800, K600 and KJM003 take AC 220 V and drive a 250 W motor, and they're the ones with long arms. The K500/K500A and G600 run on 24 V. Their 140 W motor (rated power 140 to 200 W) stays below 65 dB, which you'll appreciate at a busy or noise-sensitive entrance.
How fast does the gate open?
Arm length decides it. Expect 4 to 10 seconds per open or close on a 220 V model and 5 to 10 on a 24 V one; shorter arms are quicker. Send your opening size. We'll tell you the figure for your gate.
